Absolutely loved my stay at Pocketbook! The staff were warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Hudson, close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. The design and vibe of the hotel are incredible — fresh, modern, and full of charm. It’s such a great addition to Hudson’s hospitality scene. Can’t wait to return

The design is unreal. From the moment you walk in, the decor details are spot on and so creative. You can tell a lot of love went into building this property. The beds were sooo comfortable that it was honestly hard to get up in the morning. Also the entire team was so sweet — thank you so much to Fitz & Joe at the front desk for their incredible hospitality, it wasn’t unnoticed. I cannot WAIT to come back to stay again and to check out the thermal bathhouses once they’re open!

We were in a first floor room that had plenty of space — clean crisp sheets, and towels. Great mattress. Overall the hotel will be a very cool hotel to stay at when it is completed. Right now they are working on the spa and a workout area. We stayed there about 10 days after it opened and it needs to iron out the kinks. It took about 15 minutes to get hot water in the shower, there was no kleenex in the guest room/bathroom. There is a kettle to boil water for coffee. Could not find a place to plug in kettle so we had to move it from a mini-kitchen area to the bedroom. I ordered a cappuccino on Wednesday evening — it was lukewarm . I ordered a dessert — chocolate and shagra moose — they delivered an entirely different dessert. I was too tired to tell them. Parking is a real challenge and it is difficult to find the main entrance to the hotel. I look forward to returning in a year!

I’ve stayed at Pocketbook a few times now, and each visit feels a little more polished than the last. The rooms are beautifully designed, comfortable, and manage to feel both stylish and welcoming. On my first stay, back in November just after they opened, the hot water took a few minutes to warm up, but that was not an issue on later stays. The food is a standout too. I highly recommend the scallops to start, and the steak, mutton, and chicken mains are all excellent. The dessert menu has been nothing but wins. I’d still love to see a burger or steak sandwich added for times when you want a quicker, less formal dinner. The staff is always kind and helpful, and you can really feel the care that’s going into the place. It has quickly become my preferred places to stay in Hudson.

As a creative professional—and a very tired mother—Pocketbook Hudson elevated all of my senses. I lost track of time in the best way: getting absorbed in my work, moseying around the bar, meeting new friends, sipping martinis, and eventually falling into the most comfortable bed in the loft suite. The bath experience is excellent—spacious, beautifully appointed, and perfect for a long soak, wrapping up in a robe with a hair mask. The service is thoughtful and deeply restorative. The attentive team, the complimentary morning coffee, and the most perfect bone broth for breakfast genuinely felt healing—inside and out. It’s rare to feel so cared for without it being intrusive. There is surprise and delight around every corner. The property is artful, design-forward, architectural, and bespoke, with one-of-one objects and thoughtful textures and material woven throughout. You can feel that this place is just getting started—and when the bath and spa open, it’s game over for anyone like me who loves a restful staycation.

What a beautiful place. The team at Pocketbook are clearly building something very very special. We went for the weekend before they formally open their Bathhouse + finish building the full hotel. The character of the building is breathtaking, the rooms were so luxurious, bathrooms spacious, and one of the best steaks we've ever had at the new restaurant downstairs. The staff were so lovely. Can't wait to go back for a weekend trip upstate. This is quickly going to be one of those "have to try" spots in NY in no time.

I had a wonderful stay at the Pocketbook Hudson! The rooms and the entire hotel were beautifully designed and spacious. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly as well, with Joe, and everyone else, going above and beyond to make it a special stay (even leaving a handwritten note and bottle of champagne in the room for my fiance's birthday). The bar in the hotel was an inviting space that was filled with people each night. It was an easy walk to the main street from the hotel, but was in a nice, quiet area. I look forward to coming here again once the baths are open!

We came for the annual Winter Walk and had an incredible stay at Pocketbook Hudson. We stayed in a Lounging Studio room, and every detail was thoughtfully and beautifully chosen. You can truly feel the intention behind the design and the comfort. We already can’t wait to return in a couple of months when the baths open. It’s definitely a place we’ll come back to again and again. A huge shoutout to Joe Hoffmann (Manager) for making our stay exceptional. His attention to detail, hospitality, and genuine care elevated the entire experience. Thank you for such an amazing stay!
